A lot of people have gotten married in a fever…And sometimes that has worked out alright…what started as unbridled sexual desire that can easily burn itself out…was able to transform into a long lasting, more satisfying form of sef-gving, self-sacrificing love (1 Cor 13:13).
Lust says that “I have a right to do anything”, but love says “I will not be mastered by anything” (1 Cor 6:12).
Lust may lead to sexual immorality while love may lead to Christ’s body and his Spirit (1 Cor 6:13-17).
Lust can destroy marriages while love incorporates sexual desire into healthy marriages (Matt 19:4-6; Prov 5:18-19)
Lust can destroy the soul while love can strengthen it (1 Cor 6:18-20; 1 Jn 4:7-8)
