Ascension Day is a Christian holiday that commemorates Jesus Christ's ascension into heaven, 40 days after his resurrection on Easter Sunday. It's a significant event in the Christian calendar, marking the end of Jesus' post-resurrection appearances and the beginning of his reign in heaven.
After 10 days the Holy Spirit emphatically fell on those who gathered and waited. The Spirit of the departed Jesus fell on these disciples and empowered them for the ministry to which they were called. Afterward, those disciples, indeed, the entire course of history, was never the same.
At Harborpointe we want to humble ourselves before Jesus and before one another so that we might truly become his body, his hands and feet in a world that definitely needs to see his kind of church.
