WHOSE SIDE IS GOD ON?

On this Super Bowl Sunday some of us may resort to prayer to help edge out our opponet…But whose side is God on? Is God on the side of the most powerful? Or the victorious? Does it make sense that in many situations, God is not on either side? (Josh 5:13- 15).
Even though God was on David’s side over Goliath (1 Sam 17:45-47), was he always on David’s side no matter what? Could it be that God is on the side of the oppressed (Ex 3:1-10; (Lam 2:11-12; 3:22-24, 31).
Does God reject the tyrannical use of power no matter where the source (Gen 12:1-3; 16:1-18) and supports the oppressed no matter what their heritage or background?
No matter what, I think we are safest to pray and care and work for the oppressed…no matter who they are, where they are from or what they believe in…I believe this is the surest way to break through to the Other Side.
