Gluttony is a warning sign to lead us toward a deeper understanding of God’s love and salvation. It is an invitation to repent (Eph 5:18-20; Isa 55:1-3a). It is a recognition that our body is a temple individually and corporately (1 Cor 6:11-20; 3:10-17).
Gluttony invites us to go on a spiritual diet that includes God’s word (Jer. 15:16; Matt 4:4) and righteousness (Matt 5:6 NIV). It encourage us to eat Jesus’ spiritual food (John 4:31-34; 6:35) in order for us to find our personable peace and restoration.
