Jesus taught that true prayer isn’t for show or filled with empty words but offered quietly to the Father who sees in secret. He modeled a simple prayer, asking above all for God’s kingdom and will to be done on earth.

When crowds tried to crown Him king, waving palm branches in excitement, Jesus withdrew—He refused worldly power. Instead, He gathered twelve disciples to share His mission, though they often misunderstood it. Peter tried to stop Him from suffering; James and John sought positions of honor; even among them were a zealot and a betrayer.

Accused of claiming kingship before Pilate, Jesus stood firm in a truth the world couldn’t grasp—His kingdom was not political but spiritual. He rejected Satan’s offer of earthly power and taught that real greatness comes through humble service.

As He faced the cross, Jesus prayed, “Not my will, but yours be done.” His message remained constant: God’s kingdom is not something to see but something to receive—alive within those who follow Him.
