Today marks the First Sunday of Lent, and what better way to begin this sacred season than by reflecting on Jesus — the One who loved to pray?
Where Jesus Prayed:
In solitary places (Mark 1:35)
On the mountainside (Luke 6:12–13)
In the desert (Mark 1:12)
Before His death, Jesus prayed…
For God’s will to be done (Luke 22:39–44)
For forgiveness for His enemies (Luke 23:34)
To enter the Father’s eternal presence (Luke 23:46)
Jesus shared a deep intimacy with the Father (John 10:30; 14:6–10) — and He invites us to pray with that same closeness (Matthew 6:9).
Maybe this Lent, we can pause to pray like Jesus did… and even hear God whisper His love and delight over us (Mark 1:9–11).
